"The primary music minister in the congregation is the assembly."
Adult Choir
New Adult members and High School students are always welcome! We currently have a Women's Choir, Men's Choir and Mixed Choir that alternate each month to lead the congregation in sung worship and prayer.
Cantoring
A cantor is needed at each Mass to sing the Responsorial Psalm and lead the congregation. The Church inherited the Psalms of the Old Testament as her basic prayer and hymn book for worship.
Instrumentalists
We currently use woodwind and string instruments with our regular Sunday Masses and brass instruments for special feast days.
If you are interested in singing/cantoring or playing an instrument at Mass please email Theresa Sundstrom at:

Youth Choir
Once your child has received their 1st Communion, they are welcome to join our Youth Choir!
Youth Choir is scheduled to sing once a month. We rehearse for one hour the week before, and rehearse at 7:30 AM before Mass.
Email Theresa Sundstrom at t.sundstrom@dbqarch.org if you would like to be on the Youth Choir email list!
"Music in the liturgy is intended to foster the full, conscious and active participation of all the faithful in the Church's public prayer...joining our hearts and minds together, knowing the mystery we celebrate and to whom we give praise and thanks." - Guidelines for Liturgical Music, Revised 2015
