The Catholic community of St. John the Baptist serves the needs of people from the Lisbon, Mount Vernon, and rural Cedar Rapids, Ely, and Springville areas. The parish has a membership of approximately 400 households or about 1,400 souls. The parish offers one Mass each Sunday,Wednesday,and Friday.
Faith Formation is held during the school year for students in grades Pre K-12. In addition to our Eucharistic life and religious formation, the parish offers activities throughout the year. The parish is a thriving and engaging Catholic faith community, grounded in the Mission of Christ. On July 14, 2019 we welcomed Rev. Andrew Awotwe-Mensah as our new resident priest and pastor to our parish community.

The Catholic community of St. John the Baptist serves parishioners and others within Lisbon, Mount Vernon, and rural Cedar Rapids, Ely. .The parish has a membership of approximately 440 households or about 1,320 souls and keeps growing. The parish offers Mass each weekend on Sundays at 8:30 am and two weekday Masses each Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 am.
Adoration is held the first and third Wednesday of the month from 8 pm to 10 pm, and on the First Fridays of the month after the 8:30 am Mass.
